Job summary

NVIDIA’s HPX team is seeking a Ph.D. candidate to contribute to cross-disciplinary research at the intersection of vision and human behavior.

You will work with researchers and product engineers to ground findings in real-world problems and contribute to dissemination through conferences or journals. The role emphasizes iterative problem solving, exploring gaps, and leveraging modern AI frameworks to advance cognitive and perceptual understanding.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Ph.D. or equivalent with a track record of research and publications.
• Deep interest in gaming or human behavior in related domains.
• Background in Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
• Proficiency with Python, Rust, and/or C++.

Responsibilities

• Decompose research questions into smaller parts and tackle them iteratively.
• Identify gaps and bridge them with high-impact, non-traditional solutions.
• Collaborate with researchers and product engineers to ground research in real-world problems.
• Lead knowledge dissemination with conference, journal, or in-house publication.
