Job summary

NVIDIA Research is seeking PhD-level students for research internships to drive groundbreaking research at the intersection of AI, GPU computing, Formal Methods, and EDA. You will explore GPU-accelerated optimization, physical design algorithms, and agentic AI in chip design workflows.

You will collaborate with circuits, VLSI, and architecture teams, plan to publish your original research, and contribute to publications at AI/EDA conferences. Internship offers hourly pay and intern benefits.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Publications in leading EDA or AI conferences on AI for EDA, Formal Methods, or GPU-accelerated EDA.
• Excellent programming skills in rapid prototyping environments such as Python; C++ and parallel programming (e.g., CUDA) is a plus.
• Expertise in EDA algorithms with publications and project experience applying AI to impactful problems.

Responsibilities

• Apply AI (Agentic AI, LLMs, Generative AI, Reinforcement learning) and GPU acceleration to chip design workflows.
• Research and develop creative and innovative EDA software and algorithms.
• Collaborate with circuits, VLSI, and architecture team members in research and product teams.
• Plan to publish and present your original research.
