Job summary

Procter & Gamble's Boston Go & Tech Center is seeking a PhD intern for Grooming R&D to develop structure–property relationships in polymeric blade coatings. This 12‑week program runs May to August 2027, offering hands‑on synthesis, characterization, and data modeling in a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering, with strong communication skills and initiative for a largely self‑directed

Qualifications

• Working toward a PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
• Experience with polymer property characterization techniques.
• Ability to design controlled experiments and define quantitative endpoints.
• Strong scientific communication skills (written and verbal).
• Self-directed, 12-week internship/project experience.
• On-site in South Boston, MA for 12 weeks (3–5 days/week).
• Available May–August 2027.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts mapping material properties to product performance.
• Design and execute prototyping and characterization experiments.
• Perform synthesis, characterization, and model building for blade coatings.
• Collaborate across a multi-disciplinary team.
