Job summary

Procter & Gamble in Mason, Ohio is offering a 12-week PhD internship in Corporate Function R&D to extend the usable lifespan of advanced skin models.

As a PhD intern, you will design and conduct experiments, work with ex vivo and in vitro skin models, and contribute to method development under technical coaches.

This paid internship runs May/early June through August 2027, is in person five days a week at the Mason center, with a starting pay of $60.57 per hour.

Qualifications

• Working toward PhD in biology or biochemistry with skin focus.
• Hands-on mammalian tissue culture experience.
• Ability to design controlled experiments and define quantitative endpoints.
• Strong scientific communication, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Review published approaches for extending viability of skin models.
• Design and conduct controlled studies starting with current internal models.
• Monitor metrics of skin health and viability over time.
• Analyze results and identify effective, reproducible methods.
• Develop protocols and recommendations for broader team use.
