Job summary

Procter & Gamble in Mason, OH is seeking a PhD Summer Intern to join the Beauty Human Safety team. You will collaborate with scientists on a quantitative exposure modeling project, generating data and evaluating model performance.

This 12-week paid internship runs May to August 2027, offering hands-on experience applying advanced computational skills and presenting findings to a cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• Education: Working towards a PhD in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerosol Science, Exposure Science, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or a related Life Sciences (Toxicology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, etc.)
• Relevant programming and simulation experience - e.g. Python, COMSOL, MATLAB
• Available to work a 12-week internship from May/early June to August in the summer of 2027, 4-5 days onsite per week.

Responsibilities

• Use existing internal experimental design & protocols to generate experimental data for various product types.
• Use experimental data to create an exposure model. Compare model predictions, evaluate performance, document assumptions and limitations, and recommend refinements.
• Deliver a prototype model interface or workflow, a technical report, and a final internal presentation.
