Intel Corporation in Hillsboro, Oregon, invites a Module Engineering PhD Intern to contribute to optimization of semiconductor manufacturing for a specific module. You will sustain and improve equipment, troubleshoot issues, and support qualification activities in a hands-on environment.

This role offers practical experience in process control, statistical analysis, and materials/device characterization (SEM/TEM), with guidance from seasoned engineers and opportunities to impact production

Qualifications

• Ph.D. candidate in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related STEM field.
• Familiarity with lithography, etching, polishing, and deposition techniques.
• Experience with statistical data analysis and experimental design methodologies.
• Experience with materials and physical device characterization (SEM/TEM) from coursework or research.

Responsabilités

• Support development and implementation of semiconductor processes for a module.
• Sustain and optimize manufacturing equipment performance for reliability and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform qualification activities to meet standards.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve process control methods.
• Apply statistical analysis and experimental design to improve reliability and throughput.
• Gain hands-on experience with materials and device characterization (SEM/TEM).
• Contribute to continuous improvement of process control systems.
