The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks an Electronic Warfare Specialist to advance the next generation of EW systems in the EW Advanced Development Group. You will pursue innovative concepts, collaborate with sponsors, and develop technologies across RF, antennas, signal processing, embedded software, and more.

Required: a PhD in engineering or physics, strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to obtain Interim Secret and ultimately Top Secret clearance. U.S.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
  • Ability to establish relationships and effectively interact in teams with sponsors and across boundaries.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to obtain Interim Secret clearance; eventual Top Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Learn, grow, and develop new EW skills with experts in EW.
  • Be exposed to RF, Antenna, Signal Processing, Embedded, Software, and Advanced Technology across EW development.
  • Actively pursue, support, prototype, and test new technologies for future EW systems.
  • Innovate, develop and evaluate concepts for next generation EW systems.
