Job summary

Google is seeking a Business Data Scientist intern. You will translate business problems from your supported organization into analytical solutions, deliver project work, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to analyze impact on Google-wide metrics.

This internship is intended for PhD students in quantitative fields, requires US residency for the duration, and English proficiency. You will build data pipelines, experiments, dashboards, and present findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a PhD in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, biostatistics, physics, applied mathematics, operations research, economics).
• Experience with statistical software (R, Python, MATLAB) and database languages (SQL).
• Experience with Statistical methods and data-driven storytelling for business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Learn and translate business problems into analytical solutions and insights.
• Build and prototype analysis pipelines to provide insights at scale.
• Interact cross-functionally to present findings to stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Develop and automate reports and dashboards to address business priorities.
• Design and analyze controlled experiments or causal inference studies.
