Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking PhD-level interns to solve diverse, open-ended problems in data science, chemistry, and engineering. You will join a cross-functional team to accelerate digital evolution across R&D, ISC, M&E and IS, tackling projects from formulation property prediction to manufacturing optimization and sustainability goals.

You will collaborate with domain experts, contribute to innovative technologies, and develop as an industrial researcher in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Ph.D. degree program in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, or other related disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Solve diverse, open-ended problems to accelerate the digital evolution of Dow.
• Collaborate with domain experts across Dow teams to accelerate delivery on high-priority projects.
• Develop expertise as an industrial researcher in product, process, and data-driven applications.
• Contribute to the advancement of R&D software, advanced planning and scheduling, and manufacturing efficiency.
