Job summary

Dow Inc. is offering a digital internship across North America, including hybrid or remote options. You will align to R&D, ISC, M&E, IS or EHS&S, solving complex problems in data science, chemistry, and engineering to accelerate digital evolution at a global materials leader.

Candidates are PhD students in related disciplines with a minimum GPA, and will collaborate with domain experts to tackle projects spanning research, manufacturing, and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a PhD program in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, or related fields.
• Preferred GPA of 3.00 (on 4.0 scale).
• Eligible to comply with U.S. export control laws.

Responsibilities

• Solve diverse, open-ended problems to accelerate the digital evolution of a global materials leader.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and domain experts across Dow to deliver high-priority projects.
• Develop expertise as an industrial researcher through applied and fundamental research.
• Contribute to product/process research, software modernization, and optimization initiatives.
