The University of Kansas is seeking a Student Hourly to assist the School of Business PhD program with recruiting and administrative tasks, helping maintain orderly operations and supporting admission processes.

This on-site, non-exempt position requires enrollment in at least 6 credit hours during the semester (with specific summer conditions) and prohibits remote work unless an exception is granted. The advertised salary is $10.25 per hour, with anticipated start on Monday September 14, 2026.

Qualifications

• Must meet the minimum enrollment requirement and be in good academic standing.
• During the semester term the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester.
• Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).

Responsibilities

• Duties include: 50% Administrative duties: answering emails, special projects, and admission tasks.
• 50% Recruiting projects.
