Qualifications

  • Phased Array Level II Technician with NDT Level II UT Certification required.
  • 5 years of phased array experience and technical background in NDT methods.

Job description

Position Summary

Acuren Inspection is currently recruiting for Full-Time and Contract (Casual) Phased Array Technicians to support our operations in Plaquemine LNG Port Sulphur, LA, Orange, TX, and Sabine Pass operations.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment, conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
  • Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
  • Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
  • Organize and report test results.
  • Perform specialized inspections.
  • May instruct and supervise others.
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Phased Array Level II Technician (TOFD Credentials & Fracture Mechanics Experience preferred).
  • Must be able to pass a site Performance Demonstration Qualification (PDQ) onsite by client Level III.
  • Per diem available for qualified candidates.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Some college preferred.
  • NDT Level II UT Phased Array Certification.
  • EPRI certificate or willing to take.
  • Technical background in NDT methods and procedures with five years phased array experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections.
  • Knowledge of NDT equipment.
