Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC in Redmond, WA is hiring an Antenna Systems Engineer to lead calibration, modeling, and optimization of phased array antennas for Leo satellite broadband. You will collaborate across antenna, modem, RF and digital teams to deliver high-performance radio systems end-to-end.

The role requires hands-on lab testing, scriptable DSP techniques, and experience with systems-level design and simulation tools.

Qualifications

• Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust in professional projects.
• Experience with Linux/Unix.
• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• BS in Electrical Engineering with relevant coursework in digital communication theory, digital signal processing, RF/Microwave Engineering, Antennas and Electromagnetic theory.
• Experience in DSP techniques, digital modulation, radio architecture, line-up analysis, RF system design.
• Experience with lab test equipment like VSAs, VSGs, VNAs and Oscilloscopes.
• Coding and scripting skills with Matlab/Python/C++.
• Experience with simulation tools such as SystemVue, ADS or LabView.
• Preferred: Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing phased array calibration systems, signals, processing and algorithms
• Performance analysis and design trade-off studies of phased arrays
• End-to-end modeling, simulation and analysis of baseband/RF/antenna systems
• Lab measurement and validation of performance of antennas, and phased array systems and subsystems
• Working with antenna, modem, RF and Digital teams to simulate, measure and fine-tune radio designs
