Job summary

Farcast in San Francisco is seeking Antenna Engineers to design and bring to production phased-array antennas for satellite user terminals. This hands-on role involves direct ownership of flight and production hardware and collaboration with RF, electronics, mechanical, software, and systems engineers.

You will work across the full development cycle—from element design and full-wave simulation to array-level performance analysis, hardware testing, and validation.

Qualifications

• 3 years of hands-on experience in antenna design and testing.
• Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Antennas.
• Hands-on experience with PCB layout and RF structures.

Responsibilities

• Design antenna elements (patch, slot, dipole) for arrays.
• Optimize performance: bandwidth, gain, directivity, return loss, axial ratio.
• Develop scripts to compute array radiation pattern parameters.
• Perform full-wave simulations of elements and large arrays using HFSS.
• Develop test plans and conduct antenna testing with lab equipment (VNA, CATR, etc.).
