Job summary

Partner Engineering & Science, Inc. is looking for an enthusiastic Environmental Site Assessor in Chicago. This role offers early-career professionals the chance to gain hands-on experience in environmental due diligence. You'll conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, analyze environmental records, and collaborate with a team of experts.

Qualifications

• 2+ years writing Phase I environmental site assessments.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for field work.
• Internship or consulting experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) according to ASTM standards.
• Perform site reconnaissance to identify potential environmental concerns.
• Analyze environmental records to assess contamination risks.
• Draft clear, concise ESA reports including findings.
• Collaborate with project managers and technical reviewers.

Skills

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Curiosity and motivation to learn

Ability to work on projects concurrently

Ability to cultivate strong relationships within a team

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Biology, or related field
