Job summary

Fortrea is seeking a Clinical Research Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Paramedic to lead and support our Clinical Pharmacology Start-up team in initiating Early Phase trials. You will work on 8- or 12-hour shifts with weekend options, ensuring ethical conduct and high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

You will collaborate with top pharmaceutical and biotech clients, manage adverse events, obtain informed consent, and perform essential procedures such as IV

Qualifications

• Associate's or BS in Nursing required.
• Current state nursing license.
• CPR/AED/ACLS certification required.
• Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements.
• Paramedic, EMT, LVN, or LPN preferred.
• 2–3 years of related experience.
• Phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize dignity, safety, and wellbeing of all clinical trial participants.
• Maintain current emergency certifications and follow procedures.
• Respond to medical emergencies per nursing standards.
• Provide high-quality clinical care using nursing judgment.
• Monitor participants for adverse events and document/escalate as appropriate.
• Obtain informed consent and educate participants throughout the study.
• Administer investigational products per protocol and regulatory requirements.
• Perform study-related procedures including IV cannulation, venipuncture, vitals, ECGs, telemetry, and Holter monitoring.
• All other duties as needed or assigned.
