Job summary

The Cigna Group is offering a Pharmacy Underwriting Summer Internship designed to grow analytical thinking and business acumen within a dynamic work environment. You will apply classroom knowledge to real-world underwriting tasks and support the PBM Finance Underwriting team.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
• Completed 3 years in a preferred major and/or minor: Risk Management, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or Finance.
• Ability to learn through experimentation when tackling problems.
• Ability to juggle various priorities and workplace demands.
• Ability to work collaboratively to meet shared objectives.
• Comfortable working with math and numbers.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Interest in pursuing a career in underwriting.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word preferred.
• Problem-solving focus with a customer-centric mindset preferred.
• Learning agility and a growth mindset, comfortable seeking feedback and making improvements preferred.
• Must be eligible for employment in the United States and not require visa support, including H-1B or CPT/OPT/STEM, now or in the future.
• Must complete mandatory pre-employment tasks approximately 45 days before the program start date.
• Must be available within the United States during the drug-test completion timeframe.
• If working from home, internet service must be cable broadband or fiber optic with at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload
