MercyOne in Dubuque is seeking a Retail Pharmacy Tech Trainee. You will assist the pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical care to patients across ages, under supervision. The role requires math accuracy, strong communication, and professional judgment.

Scheduling is 16 hours weekly (Mon-Fri 8:30–5) with Saturday mornings. A path to national certification is outlined, with Iowa licensure steps. Minimum age 17 and Iowa Board of Pharmacy registration are required, with completion of national

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform basic math calculations including percentages and fractions with accuracy.
• Must exercise professional judgement in dealing with pharmacy customers.
• Must demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills.
• Must organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks in a busy setting.

Responsabilités

• Assist pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical care to patients under supervision.
• Schedule: 16 hours per week, Mon-Fri 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM; Sat 8:30-12:30.
• Maintain accuracy and compliance with pharmacy procedures and policies.
• Demonstrate professionalism and pharmacy citizenship in interactions with customers.
