Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare Inc. seeks a Pharmacy Technician Trainee to support the pharmacy team under licensed pharmacists in South Jordan, Utah. You will prepare medication orders, receive prescriptions, and help with paperwork while enrolling in an approved technician program for licensure.

The role may require weekend, night, and holiday shifts with on-the-job training and state-licensure timelines to become a licensed technician.

Qualifications

• Candidate will enroll or be enrolled in a Pharmacy Technician training program per state guidelines.
• Must apply for Pharmacy Technician Trainee Licensure within the state timelines (Utah/Colorado/Montana/Idaho/Nevada).
• Must be at least 17 years old.

Responsibilities

• Prepare medication orders and receive prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
• Stock medications and deliver medications to patients.
• Assist with billing and required paperwork and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with caregivers and stakeholders regarding responsibilities and concerns.
