Lehigh Valley Health Network is offering a transitional role for individuals pursuing Pharmacy Technician Registration with the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy. Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, the trainee will assist in medication preparation, inventory management, and complete a Board-approved training program.

The position is onsite at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest with an evening shift, Monday through Friday, and responsibilities including data entry,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers.
• Proficiency in mathematics and accurate record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Interact with co-workers and staff per healthcare values.
• Assist in preparation and distribution of medications under supervision.
• Enter data and process prescriptions per privacy standards.
• Maintain inventory and assist with automation and cabinets.
• Restock and manage automated dispensing cabinets.
• Deliver medications to patient care areas as needed.
• Support recalls and removal of expired meds.
• Follow all pharmacy policies and regulations.
