Job summary

The University of Rochester is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Supervisor to lead the pharmacy technician team in the hospital setting, ensuring accurate medication delivery, training, and regulatory compliance. You will coordinate schedules, supervise staff, and drive quality patient care under the direction of a licensed pharmacist.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3 years of acute hospital pharmacy experience as a pharmacy technician, or relevant management experience in the health care setting required

Responsibilities

• Oversees training and manages training materials for the area of supervision.
• Establishes the work schedule for the area of supervision and evaluates performance of direct reports.
• Ensures that all pharmacy technician functions are completed in alignment with regulations.
• Trains technicians and assesses ongoing competency in all duties in area of primary supervision.
• Provides operational coverage to all shifts in area of primary supervision.
