Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Pharmacy Technician registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy, or Pharmacist Intern licensing.
• IV certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a licensed pharmacist, prepare and distribute prescribed medications and other health care products.
• Prepare dosage medications for dispensing, count pills, and repackage as needed.
• Mix medications requiring reconstitution, prepare oral syringes, and assist with sterile compounding.
• Fill and replenish cabinets, manage inventory, and deliver medications to patient care units.
• Record documentation, verify patient information, answer phones, stock shelves, and assist with cash handling and data entry.
