Job summary

Onco360 Pharmacy in Woodridge, IL is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Supervisor - Intake to lead our intake team and ensure accurate, timely processing of orders for our specialty program.

This full-time role requires 4+ years of pharmacy experience, leadership ability, and a strong understanding of pharmacy terminology and processes (sig codes, Roman numerals, brand/generic names). Mon-Fri 10:30am–7:00pm CST; commutable to Woodridge location. Benefits and sign-on bonus offered.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED and be a licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law.
• 4+ years of pharmacy experience with previous leadership experience.
• Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) required.
• Desired: Associates or Bachelor's Degree and Advanced Certified Pharmacy Technician.

Responsibilities

• Supervises intake staff in a leadership role to maintain positive working environment and reduce turnover.
• Creates patient profiles and processes orders from e-prescriptions and faxes; manages incoming documents.
• Assists Manager in day-to-day pharmacy operations and implements new procedures for timely dispensing.
• Recruits, hires, orients, develops, and trains new intake staff; coaches and conducts performance reviews.
• Monitors daily activity and workflow; reports on Pulse metrics and daily operation.
• Works with management to control operating expenses and stay within budget.

Full-time position, Monday to Friday – 10:30am – 7pm CST. Seeking candidates who live within a commutable distance to our Woodridge, IL pharmacy location.

Salary range starting at $55k an up depending on experience

Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 for employees starting before September 30, 2026

Role Responsibilities

• Supervises intake staff in a leadership role to maintain a positive working environment by creating synergy and teamwork to minimize employee relations issues and reduce turnover. Communicates effectively across pharmacy and/or corporate teams and with patients, and successfully resolves issues.
• Creates patient profiles and processes orders in a timely manner from electronic prescription and fax queues, requests refill prescriptions as appropriate, manages incoming documents from the fax server
• Assists Manager in day-to-day pharmacy operations and in implementing new procedures to ensure that the accurate and timely dispensing of quality pharmacy services is consistently delivered to all patients using effective service leadership and customer skills.
• Works with pharmacy management to recruit, select, hire, orientate, develop, and train new associates. On an ongoing basis, evaluates, coaches, and utilizes performance management practices to motivate and set expectations for Intake staff. In collaboration with management, drafts and delivers effective corrective action plans and disciplinary action to technicians performing at substandard levels.
• Manages and reports on daily activity of vertical team members, including monitoring of daily workflow and Pulse reporting.
• Works with pharmacy management to control operating expenses by effective utilization of personnel, equipment, and supplies to maintain and improve services within approved budget.
• Works with pharmacy management to gain a thorough understanding and working knowledge of job functions performed by each team member.
• Works with Intake Manager and/or Director of Pharmacy Operations on other responsibilities, projects, implementations, and initiatives as needed.
• Performs activities related to the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal laws and REMS programs
• Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations and compliance with professional practice and patient confidentiality laws.

Qualifications

Education / Learning Experience

• Required: High School Diploma or GED, licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law, Previous Experience in Pharmacy Intake, Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician
• Desired: Associates or Bachelor's Degree, Advanced Certified Pharmacy Technician, Specialty pharmacy experience

Work Experience

• Required: 4+ years pharmacy experience, previous leadership experience
• Desired: 5+ years pharmacy experience, 1+ years supervisor experience

Skills / Knowledge

• Required: Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work with all levels of management and staff, vast knowledge of pharmacy terminology and process including sig codes, and roman numerals, brand/generic names of medication, advanced typing, math and analytical skills.
• Desired: Specialty pharmacy operations, leadership skills, independent decision-making abilities, able to conduct research, be resourceful, and self-reliant, excellent communication skills

Licenses / Certifications

• Required: Registration with Board of Pharmacy as required by state law, Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB)
