Job summary

OHSU is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities include unit-dose filling, medication distribution, data entry, and maintaining aseptic technique in sterile compounding.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and Oregon Pharmacy Technician license.
• 2 years of pharmacy work experience or equivalent education.
• Certification from PTCB or NHA and maintenance of certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist through technical support: order entry, fill unit-dose orders, and select medications from inventory.
• Deliver medications to patient care areas and manage 24-hour medication distribution.
• Handle medication profiles, billing/crediting, and telephone inquiries.
• Load and refill medications into automated dispensing cabinets; maintain logs for compliance.
• Prepare, mix and compound sterile medications following aseptic procedures.
