Pharmacy Technician - Sterile Compounding - Full Time

Join our team as a Pharmacy Technician - Sterile Compounding at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, NE. This role involves preparing sterile compounded medications in a clean room environment, collaborating with pharmacists and clinical staff to ensure safe and accurate medication delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Perform sterile compounding according to USP 797 and USP 800 standards.
  • Maintain competency with equipment and programs related to sterile compounding.
  • Manage medication and supplies, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure cleanliness and monitoring.
  • Apply critical thinking and calculations to validate activities.
  • Work collaboratively to meet compounding needs promptly.
  • Engage in ongoing training related to sterile compounding.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Registered as a pharmacy technician with the Nebraska Board of Pharmacy.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification within 12 months of licensure.
  • Complete internal Aseptic Technique training within two weeks of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in inpatient pharmacy and sterile compounding.
  • Experience with hazardous medications or TPN compounding.
