Job summary
Soleo Health in Morrisville, NC is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support our specialty infusion pharmacy. You will assist in sterile compounding and provide clinical support under a pharmacist’s direction, ensuring compliance with state BOP and USP standards.
This 100% in-person role requires NC-registered technician with at least 1 year of experience; PTCB/NHA certification is preferred. Competitive benefits include health plans, 401(k), PTO, and education assistance.

Responsibilities
- Sterile preparation of IV medications under pharmacist supervision.
- Maintain compliance with USP 797/800 and state BOP regulations.
- Maintain call and shipment schedules for patient continuity.
- Data entry of patient and prescription information into pharmacy software.
- Clean room maintenance and sanitation per policy.
- Participate in quality assurance and credentialing processes.
- Assist with receiving/storage and inventory management.
- Obtain additional state licensure/registration as needed.
- Prescription adjudication, claims troubleshooting, order fulfillment, and inventory management.

The pharmacy technician provides clinical support services and sterile compounding of infusion therapies under the direction of a pharmacist, and in compliance with state board of pharmacy's sterile compounding and pharmacy practice regulations. The pharmacy technician prepares and provides clinical support services necessary for the dispensing of injectable and oral medications used to support our core business offerings. Responsibilities include:
- Sterile preparation of IV / infused medications under the direction of the pharmacist and in compliance with current regulations and standards.
- Demonstrates understanding of USP 797 standards, USP 800 standards, and current State Board of Pharmacy (BOP) regulations.
- Maintains call and shipment schedules to ensure continuity of care for all patients.
- Collects, documents, disseminates and coordinates customer communications, laboratory data and various clinical information with pharmacy, nursing and reimbursement staff.
- Performs efficient data entry of pertinent patient and prescription information into company’s pharmacy software system, as allowed by BOP regulations.
- Performs all cleaning and maintenance of the pharmacy clean room in accordance with company policy and state BOP regulations.
- Participates in company’s quality assurance and performance improvement program.
- Remains current with the BOP continuing education requirements, and completes Soleo’s annual re-credentialing process.
- Performs receiving and storage of medications and supplies from vendors.
- Performs the picking/packaging of supplies and medications for shipment to the customer home.
- Participates in regularly scheduled inventory counts and complies with Soleo’s formulary management program.
- Obtains additional state technical licensure/registration as requested to support the geographic service area of the branch.
- Primary duties for this role are to include: Prescription Ajudication, claims troubleshooting, order fullfillment, and inventory management
- Ability to work 100 percent in person
- Ability to work Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm, 40 hours per week
- Must be licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of North Carolina in good standing
- PTCB or NHA Certification preferred
- Must have a minimum of 1 year on the job pharmacy technician experience - preferred experience working in hospital or Specialty Infusion Pharmacy setting
- High school diploma (or equivalent) required
- Registered/Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), or as required by the BOP - state of North Carolina in good standing
- PTCB/NHA Certification preferred
- Must have a minimum of 1 year on the job work experience
- Minimum experience working as a technician in the pharmacy IV room of a hospital or specialty infusion pharmacy preferred
- Prior technician experience with a home infusion company preferred
- Current registration and ACPE requirements are met
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent sterile compounding technique
- Basic to intermediate efficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook- additional programs to include: CPR+, Insight
