Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Assist in ordering of supplies from wholesaler and direct accounts, and verify items received against invoices.
  • Store items received and maintain stock levels, dating and initialing invoices/packing slips on receipt.
  • Enter customers' medication and billing information into computer system.
  • Answer and screen telephone calls and forward as needed.
  • Perform extemporaneous compounding under pharmacist supervision.

Position Summary

The Pharmacy Technician is an exciting staff-level opportunity at MultiCare, assisting in manipulative and non-discretionary functions of the practice of pharmacy. In this role, you will apply your organizational skills and attention to detail for successful daily work operations.

  • You will assist in ordering of supplies from wholesaler and direct accounts, and verifies items received against invoices
  • You will store items received and assist in maintaining stock levels, to include dating and initialing invoices and/or packing slips upon receipt
  • You will enter customer’s medication and billing information into computer system
  • You will answer and screen telephone calls and forwards as needed
  • You will perform extemporaneous compounding under pharmacist supervision
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by the Washington State Department of Health
  • Successful completion of National Pharmacy Technician Certification Program (preferred)
  • If required to drive a MHS vehicle, a driver’s license is required.
  • Retail pharmacy experience (retail health only)

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $27.36 - $39.38 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
