Job summary

HCA HealthONE Presbyterian St. Luke's is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Specialist under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

You will perform functions related to pharmaceutical preparation and distribution, including non-sterile compounding, stocking automated cabinets, unit dose preparation, delivering medications, and checking storage for outdates. The role may involve work in IV room, controlled substances, automation, informatics, and medication reconciliation; the Specialist

Qualifications

• Licensure/certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or national equivalent) with Colorado Board of Pharmacy (DORA) issued Certificate, or Provisional Certificate
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: previous pharmacy technician experience preferred
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: communication, teamwork, customer service, computer, problem solving and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Perform functions related to pharmaceutical preparation and distribution under supervision
• Non-sterile compounding, stocking automated cabinets, unit dose drug preparation, delivering medications
• Check medication storage areas for outdates and assist with billing
• Serve as lead or SME in designated specialty areas such as IV room, controlled substances, automation, informatics
