Job summary

UW Health in Madison, WI is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Specialist to prepare and distribute pharmaceuticals, perform inventory control, audits and financial transactions, while delivering excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate has 6 months of pharmacy tech experience; completion of an accredited training program is preferred; Wisconsin registration upon hire is required. This 100% FTE role offers day/evening shifts with weekend rotations and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• No minimum education required.
• Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program preferred.
• Six months experience as a pharmacy technician or related training required.

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician Specialist to:

• Prepare and distribute pharmaceuticals, perform inventory control, compliance audits, and financial transactions, provide excellent customer service, and maintain pharmacy records.
• Demonstrate exemplary teamwork and work as part of an interdisciplinary patient care team.
• Adapt to a changing environment, demonstrate flexibility and a positive attitude to complete any work within the scope of the role.

The ideal candidate will have sterile compounding or hazardous drug compounding experience. Experience performing in a fast-paced and high volume environment preferred. Teamwork and attention to detail are essential to this role.

Work Experience

• 6 months experience as a pharmacy technician, completion of accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program, or completion of second year of pharmacy school. Required

• Certified Pharmacy Technician Preferred
