Job summary

Henry Ford Health is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to assist in prescription processing and merchandise stocking under pharmacist supervision. You will engage with customers, enter patient data, and support billing and inventory tasks in a fast-paced retail pharmacy setting.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and typically six months of retail pharmacy experience. Michigan license is required to perform duties in this role, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus eligible for qualified

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of six (6) months of retail pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and prepackages medication for patients under pharmacist supervision.
• Enters prescription information and processes prescriptions in the computer.
• Assists in orientation and training of new staff.
• Obtains personal and insurance information from customers and enters it into the computer.
• Takes prescription refill orders over the phone from customers.
• Collects monies owed for prescription and OTC sales.
• Straightens and inventories all OTC medications and sundry items.
• Maintains records of medication dispensed and reprocesses rejected prescriptions as needed.
