Job summary

Walmart Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician at Sam’s Club in Independence, MO to support prescription fulfillment, patient service, and insurance processing. You will assist the pharmacist, manage pharmacy software data, and help maintain a safe, compliant pharmacy environment.

The role requires meeting state requirements for Pharmacy Technicians and obtaining PTCE/ExCPT within 9 months. Competitive benefits and hourly pay are included.

Qualifications

• Meets all state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician and must obtain PTCE or ExCPT within 9 months of entry.
• Ability to process prescription data accurately and enter into pharmacy software.
• Experience handling third-party insurance claims and patient interactions helpful.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash registers and handle payments per policy.
• Stock and rotate pharmacy merchandise and maintain displays.
• Process third-party insurance claims and rejections; alert pharmacists when needed.
• Assist pharmacist in prescription fulfillment and maintain records.
• Provide patient service at prescription drop-off and pickup and ensure HIPAA compliance.
