Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking an Pharmacy Technician for our Outpatient Pharmacy team in Cleveland, OH. The role focuses on patient service, pharmacy operations, and collaboration with pharmacists and technicians to ensure accurate dispensing and efficient service.

Required candidates are registered or eligible to register with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy, with a High School Diploma or GED and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Registered as Pharmacy Technician or Trainee with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Pharmacy team including Pharmacist and technicians.
• Assist with inventory management and cash handling tasks.
• Support outpatient pharmacy operations and patient service initiatives.

Shift: Monday Thru Friday 230p-11p, 10a-6p rotating weekends

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
• 18 years of age or older with no felony convictions.
• Registered as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Trainee with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy. Maintains registration throughout employment.
• Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Able/willing to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current/active Certified Pharmacy Technician from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or possess an Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) Certification from the National Healthcare Association.
• 6 months to 1 year of experience in a retail pharmacy or a hospital-based ambulatory pharmacy.
