Under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist, performs a wide variety of duties in the delivery of pharmaceutical care to patients in the ambulatory pharmacies. Meets various departmental standards, including but not limited to prescription turnaround times and medication dispensing accuracy. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Required:
High School Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam. 18 years of age or older with no felony convictions, per Ohio Revised Code 4729.42. Registered as a Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Trainee, with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy. Maintains registration throughout the course of employment. Willing and able to travel to external satellite locations, including having access to reliable transportation. Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Preferred:
Current/active Certified Pharmacy Technician from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or possess an Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) Certification from the National Healthcareer Association. 6 months of experience in a retail pharmacy or a hospital-based ambulatory pharmacy.
