Location: Valley View

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: Monday through Friday, 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM, rotating weekends

Summary:

Under the supervision of a Pharmacist, performs a variety of duties in delivering pharmaceutical care to patients in ambulatory pharmacies. Meets departmental standards including prescription turnaround times and medication dispensing accuracy. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (high school diploma or passing a high school equivalency exam).
  • At least 18 years of age with no felony convictions, per Ohio Revised Code 4729.42.
  • Registered as a Pharmacy Technician or Trainee with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy, maintaining registration throughout employment.
  • Willing and able to travel to external satellite locations, with reliable transportation.
  • Ability to interact effectively with diverse cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Preferred:
  • Current/active Certified Pharmacy Technician credential from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or an Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) from the National Healthcare Association.
  • At least 6 months of experience in retail or hospital-based ambulatory pharmacy.
