Job summary

INTEGRIS Health Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking a PRN, Retail ED Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in preparing, labeling and delivering medications in compliance with the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy.

You will obtain drug products, label and present them for review, restock floor stock, operate Pyxis and RxOBOT machines, ensure timely delivery, and handle inventory and pharmacy communications.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED
• OSBP-PhT license within 90 days of hire if not currently licensed
• Phase I Training must be completed within 1 week of hire
• Phase II Training must be ongoing or completed within 90 days of license
• 25 wpm typing

Responsibilities

• Obtains drug products, places them in appropriate containers, labels and presents to a registered pharmacist for review
• Repackages and labels medications, issues and records floor stock items, inspects floor stock in an assigned area and reports this information to the pharmacy supervisor
• Operates and restocks automatic dispensing machines including Pyxis machines and the RxOBOT (IBMC)
• Ensures the timely and accurate delivery of medications
• Issues and records all inventory transactions for scheduled and non-scheduled medications, assuring that all counts balance with the book value of inventory on hand.
• Answers the pharmacy window and telephone, manages the charging and crediting of medications and emergency cart medication maintenance

Responsibilities

The Pharmacy Technician assists the pharmacists with the preparation, labeling, and delivery of medications in accordance with the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy and adheres to the policies and procedures of the INTEGRIS Health. This position requires population specific competencies.
