Pharmacy Technician - Retail Call Center - ROT

Location: Valley View

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: 6-week rotation, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., rotating weekends

Summary:

Under the supervision of a Pharmacist, performs a variety of duties in delivering pharmaceutical care to patients in ambulatory pharmacies. Ensures compliance with departmental standards, including prescription turnaround times and medication dispensing accuracy. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 18 years of age or older with no felony convictions, per Ohio Revised Code 4729.42
  • Registered as a Pharmacy Technician or Trainee with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy, maintaining registration throughout employment
  • Willing and able to travel to external satellite locations with reliable transportation
  • Ability to interact effectively with diverse cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds

Preferred:

  • Current/active Certified Pharmacy Technician from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the ExCPT Certification from the National Healthcareer Association
  • At least 6 months of experience in a retail or hospital-based ambulatory pharmacy
