What Pharmacy Technicians Contribute to Cardinal Health

Health System Pharmacy provides customized pharmacy solutions that reduce costs and improve patient care for hospitals, health systems, and other healthcare providers. They also advise healthcare teams on medications, supplies, and processes.

Job Summary

The Pharmacy Technician assists the Pharmacist with daily pharmacy operations, including preparing and filling prescriptions, managing inventory, and processing returns. They ensure all orders are reviewed by a registered pharmacist and record activities in compliance with regulations. They communicate with customers to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in filling prescriptions as permitted by state law.
• Communicate professionally with patients, clinics, caregivers, physicians, and coworkers.
• Process medication returns for credit or destruction.
• Input patient and prescription data into the pharmacy system.
• Follow all pharmacy laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience preferred.
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Active Pharmacy Technician Certification in Texas.

Training and Work Schedule

Training is from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CST. The position is full-time, with flexible shifts Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CST.

Remote Work Details

Remote work requires a dedicated, quiet environment with high-speed internet. Equipment will be provided. Internet must meet specific speed and connection requirements, including a wired connection with minimum speeds of 15 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload, and a ping of 30 ms or less.

Pay Rate: $20.60/hour
