Job Summary:

The Pharmacy Technician is a key member of the ArchWell Health Pharmacy Team. Reporting to the Clinical Pharmacist, the technician will provide direct patient care and collaborate with healthcare team members in a virtual environment to optimize pharmaceutical care. Responsibilities include conducting patient outreaches, assisting with medication navigation, and reviewing plan benefits. An ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Medicare Advantage prescription benefits, attention to detail, and a passion for senior care.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Review and process pharmacy refill requests via faxes, EMR routes, or calls, ensuring timely completion
  • Conduct telephonic outreaches and respond to patient inquiries about medication adherence and refills
  • Access medication adherence portals and review medical notes to determine appropriate actions
  • Collaborate with pharmacy staff, providers, and care teams to resolve medication-related issues
  • Complete tasks accurately, timely, and in compliance with regulations (including HIPAA) and standards
  • Participate in staff meetings, provide input on trends, processes, and quality improvements
  • Support other departmental initiatives as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent customer service, telephone etiquette, active listening, and follow-through skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including members, staff, providers, and families
  • High emotional intelligence, integrity, resilience, and adaptability
  • Self-starter with creative thinking and effective work habits
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) and other relevant software
  • Ability to travel occasionally for meetings
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with a state board
  • At least 2 years of experience in pharmacy benefits, clinic, high-volume call center, or retail pharmacy
  • Experience with eClinicalWorks or similar EMR systems
  • Experience with geriatric patients or medication adherence programs is a plus
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish highly preferred
