Responsibilities

The Pharmacy Technician, under the direct supervision of the Pharmacy Manager or Registered Pharmacist, shall assist with routine pharmacy responsibilities. These include preparing and distributing medications, maintaining inventory, preparing reports, managing automated systems, and maintaining records. They work only under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist and do not perform duties that legally can only be performed by a registered pharmacist.

Salary

The compensation range for the role is $23.05 - $29.55 hourly. This range is provided to comply with New York State law on Salary Transparency and does not include bonuses or other incentives. Factors such as location, experience, education, and internal policies may influence the final compensation.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Knowledge of mathematical skills including calculations, percentages, division, and decimal manipulation.
• General data entry skills, excellent written and verbal communication.
• PTCB Certification and registration required.

Working Conditions

• Works in a clean, well-lit environment with some exposure to machinery, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals.
• Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting up to 25 lbs, long periods of sitting or standing, and operating equipment.
• Ability to work under pressure, handle interruptions, and adapt to schedule changes, including evenings or weekends.
