Qualifications

The Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists with preparing, labeling, and delivering medications according to Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy regulations and INTEGRIS Health policies. This role requires population-specific competencies and adherence to National Patient Safety Goals based on patient contact level. Qualifications
  • 25 WPM typing speed
  • Current License or formal training as a Pharmacy Technician preferred
  • Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy license must be obtained within 90 days of hire if not currently licensed
  • Phase I Training within 1 week of hire; Phase II Training within 90 days of licensing

Responsibilities
  • Obtain, package, label, and present medications for pharmacist review
  • Repackage, label, and record floor stock medications; inspect and report stock status
  • Operate and restock automatic dispensing machines, including Pyxis and RxOBOT
  • Ensure timely and accurate medication delivery
  • Record inventory transactions, ensuring counts match book values
  • Manage pharmacy window, telephone, medication charging, and emergency cart maintenance
  • Report to Staff Pharmacists, Pharmacy Supervisor, Manager Pharmacy, and Director Pharmacy
  • Physical demands and respiratory fit test requirements may apply; consult Risk Management/Employee Health for details
  • May be exposed to hazardous compounds; safety precautions are essential
