Job summary

Logan Regional Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Non-Certified to assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications and supporting daily operations in a 132-bed hospital. You will work under direct supervision to ensure safe, compliant pharmacy service delivery.

This entry‑level role requires a high school diploma and completion of a technician training program (preferred). LPT registration or licensure is required where mandated by state law.

Job Summary

The Pharmacy Technician Non-Certified assists pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, maintaining inventory, and supporting day-to-day pharmacy operations. Working under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, this entry-level role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant pharmacy service delivery.

Essential Functions

• Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems.
• Fills medication carts on a daily basis.
• Prepares and restocks prepackaged medications and bulk inventory.
• Verifies inventory, receives/stores supplies, and updates inventory records.
• Assists in maintaining compliance with pharmacy storage and handling procedures.
• Follows procedures for labeling and packaging to ensure accuracy.
• Performs clerical duties to support pharmacy operations.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations

• Basic knowledge of pharmacy operations and medications.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to use inventory management and pharmacy software systems.
• Able to follow instructions and work under pharmacist supervision.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent including education equivalent to completion of secondary school or demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the role.
• Other: completion of a pharmacy technician training program (Preferred) And

Licenses/Certifications

• LPT - Licensed Pharmacy Tech Registration or licensure as a Pharmacy Technician with the applicable State Board of Pharmacy required, where mandated by state law. Upon Hire (Required)

Experience

• Zero to 1 year experience in a healthcare of pharmacy setting (Preferred)
