Join to apply for the Pharmacy Technician (PRN) - Pharmacy - UH Truman Medical Centers (varied shifts per week; 8:00a-5:00p) role at University Health KC.

This position is located at 101 Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri, within the Pharmacy UHLMC department. It is a part-time role with work hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling approximately 4 hours per week.

You’ll work directly with a licensed clinical pharmacist to maintain the drug distribution system and ensure smooth operations.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Preparing sterile and non-sterile products with precision.
  • Repackaging medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Replenishing stock in automated dispensing cabinets.
  • Managing inventory, including controlled substances, with accurate record-keeping.
  • Submitting third-party billing accurately and efficiently.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Pharmaceutical work experience and knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology preferred.
  • Must have passed the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination (PTCB) and maintain certification.
  • Strong computer and typing skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Driving requirements applicable if driving is part of the role, with adherence to safety policies.
