Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician for a PRN, as-needed role in its hospital and outpatient service areas. You will assist the pharmacist with processing orders, stocking medications, labeling, and contributing to non-sterile compounding under state regulations.

Responsibilities include entering orders in the electronic health record, handling prescription processing, and supporting education of new technicians and students.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ExCPT or PTCB certification and active State Board registration required.
• Completion of ASHP/ACPE tech training program or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in preparation of medications for inpatient/outpatient services.
• Enter and retrieve information in an electronic health record system.
• Stock and label medications, count and pour drugs, and assist with non-sterile compounding.
• Transport medications to off-site locations and operate dispensing robotics as needed.
• Assist with education and precepting of new technicians and student learners.
