Shift : Day Shifts, including weekends

Location: 2300 Lone Star Road; Mansfield, TX 76063

· Help develop a brand new $150 million community hospital and medical office building that will provide services such as Emergency Services, Medical/Surgical, ICU, Women’s Services, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Interventional Cardiology and Gastroenterology.

The role you’ll contribute:

Primary responsibility is the provision of medication distributive functions and pharmacy operational tasks, which includes but is not limited to assisting the pharmacist with all duties of preparing and dispensing of medications, inventory management, and regulatory compliance. Performs duties necessary for the effective daily operation of all department services and programs. Accurately responds to medication dispensing requests, prepares medications for pharmacist final review/check, delivers checked medications, and returns unused or expired medications to appropriate pharmacy areas. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

· Actively performs all pharmacy technician functions and maintains active proficiency in:

o Standard work parameters

o Operational programs

o Delivery and compounding systems

o Hospital computer systems

o Medication ordering systems

· Oversees appropriate utilization of medication automation, technology, and computer systems

· Accurately oversees the management of medication inventories and the preparation and delivery of patient specific medication doses

· Identifies, mitigates, and reports potential medication errors such as look alike sound-alike medications

· Provides accurate, safe and timely medication therapy

· Collaborates with other pharmacy staff

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications :

· High School degree or equivalent

· Applicable State Pharmacy Technician Registration (RPT) OR Current, valid State Pharmacist Intern license if applicable to state

· MUST HAVE Sterile Compounding Certification completed

Preferred qualifications:

· One year of contemporary hospital pharmacy experience, retail or ambulatory experience acceptable
