Job summary

Franciscan Health Crawfordsville Campus is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in a busy hospital setting. The role focuses on restocking Pyxis machines and nursing units, verifying medications, and delivering orders across onsite facilities.

Responsibilities include order entry accuracy, packaging, and assisting with sterile compounding and IV piggyback preparations. A HS diploma and pharmacy certification are required with preferred hospital pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year sterile compounding preferred.
• 1 year hospital pharmacy preferred.
• Pharmacy Tech state license/registration required.
• PTCB certification preferred or required by board.

Responsibilities

• Restock and check Pyxis machines and nursing units.
• Verify integrity of medications in Pyxis and floor stock areas.
• Make routine deliveries of filled medication orders and pick up new orders to be filled.
• Package and maintain records of medications not prepackaged.
• Assist as a second check in order entry accuracy.
• Prepare and deliver intravenous piggyback admixtures.

A hospital pharmacy is a busy place. Without the support of a hands-on Pharmacy Tech, it would be hard for the Pharmacist to get the job done. This team player keeps meds stocked, verifies and delivers orders, handles computer entry work and much more.
