Job summary

University Medical Center of El Paso (UMC) is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists with the mechanical preparation of prescriptions for final check. You will enter orders, pull and count medications, and participate in inventory replacement and management.

Qualifications include basic computer literacy and strong communication, familiarity with pharmacy terminology, and completion of a Pharmacy Technician program or a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Basic computer literacy and keyboarding/data entry skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of and ability to use computer applications.
• Advanced Pharmacy Technician knowledge of pharmacy terminology and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical preparation of prescriptions for final check by pharmacists.
• Order entry into computer profile, pulling and counting medications.
• Processing of third party billings and inventory replacement and management.
