Job summary

Community Health Network is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to ensure medications and supplies are provided to the customer in an accurate and timely manner, in compliance with Joint Commission and state health standards.

You will select medications for dispensing, compound sterile products using aseptic technique, deliver medications and supplies to the proper location, and maintain a current professional knowledge base while participating in process improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Indiana Pharmacy Technician License or Indiana Pharmacy Intern License is required.
• National Certification required within 2 years of hire unless you are a Pharmacy Intern.
• Previous pharmaceutical or related healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure medications and supplies are provided to the customer in an accurate and timely manner in compliance with standard procedures and regulatory standards.
• Select medications for dispensing.
• Compound sterile products using aseptic technique.
• Deliver medications and supplies to the proper location in a timely fashion.
• Maintain contemporary professional knowledge base.
• Participate in evaluation, development, and implementation of process improvement.
• Perform basic compounding and calculations.
• Communicate with patients, their families, and hospital staff in a positive and professional manner.
