Empower Pharmacy in Houston, TX is seeking a Pharmacy Technician, Dispensing to support our national 503A/503B operations. You will verify prescriptions, ensure labeling accuracy, and document dispensing records in real time to support pharmacist review and patient safety.

The role requires attention to detail, adherence to SOPs, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment. Experience with pharmacy systems and barcode tools is preferred, and strong communication with team

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacy Technician registration, licensure, or certification as required by state regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or healthcare-related training preferred.
• Experience in pharmacy operations, dispensing, production, or regulated environments preferred.
• Ability to follow standardized processes and maintain documentation accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Review prescriptions and patient information for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and apply accurate labels with dosing, warnings, expiration, and traceability.
• Complete dispensing records in real time for audit readiness and data integrity.
• Prioritize daily dispensing activities based on urgency and workflow needs.
• Maintain productivity while minimizing errors and protecting quality standards.
• Identify discrepancies early and escalate to pharmacists or leadership.
• Use pharmacy systems and barcode tools to support accurate documentation and workflow.
