Albertsons Companies Inc. in Maryland is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists by processing prescriptions, entering data, and preparing medications while ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

You will interact with patients, answer questions, and direct clinical inquiries to the pharmacist, maintaining records and restocking supplies to keep the workflow efficient in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ (or 18+ depending on location requirements).
• Current Board of Pharmacy registration or licensure required where applicable
• Ability to operate computers, registers, and pharmacy systems
• Successful completion of required pharmacy training programs and technician development requirements
• Working knowledge of pharmacy procedures, prescription processing, and HIPAA guidelines
• Proficiency in computer systems and basic math calculations
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow written and verbal instructions
• Availability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing prescriptions under supervision of a pharmacist
• Enter data, prepare medications, and process orders within regulatory limits
• Answer questions and direct clinical questions to the pharmacist
• Maintain organization, restock supplies, and keep the workspace clean
• Handle patient transactions and maintain records
