Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of retail pharmacy experience.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook; familiarity with pharmacy software.

Responsibilities

• Obtain information to help fill prescriptions.
• Count medications and measure amounts as prescribed.
• Mix and prepare medications as directed.
• Package prescriptions with correct labels and dosage information.
• Process retail transactions and handle money accurately.
• Process insurance claims as part of dispensing prescriptions.
• Understand and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Perform cash handling procedures and refer customers as needed.
• Participate in pharmacy quality initiatives and perform other duties.
